OCI Minor - Born in Canada / United States

The Documents required for OCI Minor

Indian Origin Kid:

1. Dully filled application form.

2. Declaration by the OCI applicant.

3. NOC (No-objection-Certificate)

   • Both parents need to paste one (2'x2') photograph along with the signature.

     • Verify if the signature matches the one on parent's passport.

4. Birth-Certificate

   • Birth certificate should contain both the parents name.

   • Incase of United states, Apostille is mandatory on birth certificate.

5. Parents registered Marriage Certificate

   • Gram Panchayat/Hindu temple/Church/Gurudwara/Waqf board marriage certificate is not acceptable. Parents should register their marriage certificate then only the kid is eligible for the OCI.

6. Parents Indian passport copy

7. Parents Canadian status

   • Canadian Passport/study permit/work permit/ PR card

     • In-case one of the parents status expires then attach extension letter.

     • NOTE: If both the parents status is expired, then the kid is not eligible for OCI process. So, at-least one parent's status should be valid.

8. Parents address proof

   • Driving license/utility bill/Notice of assessment/ Photo ID

   Toronto: 376

2. BLS International Services
   Canada Inc:1.70

Who is not eligible for minor OCI?

1. If only one parent name is written on minor's birth certificate, then he/she is not eligible for OCI.

2. If the both the parents are in applied status or visitor, then the kid cannot do OCI. At-least one parent should have valid status to apply for their Kids OCI.
