OCI ADULT

Documents required for OCI (Overseas citizenship of India):

1. Dully filled application form.

2. Declaration by the OCI applicant.

3. Surrender certificate

   • If the person got citizenship before 2010 of any other foreign country citizenship certificate is not required, only the cancelled stamp on the Indian passport is sufficient.

4. Indian passport first and last page copy.

5. Citizenship certificate

6. Canadian Passport / Foreign passport

   • If a person has hold other than Canadian citizenship,

     • Attach Canadian status copy (study permit/work permit/ PR card)

7. Marital status

   • If married, registered marriage certificate is required.

   • If divorced, divorce certificate is mandatory.

8. Spouse current passport copy.

9. Employment letter

   • Self declaration will not be accepted

   • Latest employment letter is must

   • In case of not having employment letter, you can provide company offer letter under your name along with current pay stub

   • Incase the person is unemployed. On the application form under occupation section choose others and mention Unemployed. Next, give a self-declaration explaining why you are jobless.

   • If business / Self employed. Applicant need to attach article of incorporation.

10. Address proof

    • Driving license/utility bill/Notice of assessment/ Photo ID.

11. Checklist

12. (2' x 2') one photograph.

1. Incase of Postal or walk-in, the consulate fees should be paid in form of money order or demand draft.

   • BLS International Services Canada: 1.70

Who is not eligible for OCI- Adult?

1. If a person has visitor / applied status in canada, and holds some other country's citizenship. He/she is not for OCI in canada. To be eligible applicant must have at-least study permit/work permit/ PR card.

2. Incase of divorce order, final court order is must.
